hi, I’m Rachel!

Pronouns: She/They

I’ve always been an avid learner and listener, so it made sense that I eventually discovered the field of clinical social work and settled into becoming a therapist.

Radical Therapy was born out of the idea that psychological wellness is NOT a “one-size-fits-all” approach. In order to create meaningful change, sometimes we have to go against the grain and to do things a little different. Therapy does not have to mean we’re acting in a formal, composed manner 24/7. Therapy can be a space to explore and reconnect with ourselves, however we need (crying, laughing, and swearing are always encouraged).

My role as a clinician is to act as an equal partner on your healing journey. You are the one that possesses all of the knowledge and wisdom to make the changes you want to see, I just happen to know some information about neurobiology, behavioral patterns, and how to ask thought-provoking questions.

Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two kitties, doing CrossFit, baking something yummy, and playing cozy video games!

  • I am a firm believer that the most important aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship itself. I tailor my approach to you, rather than utilize one blanket modality or theory.

In terms of specific modalities, I often draw from CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, parts work, and mindfulness.

  • I operate from the belief that clients feel safer and more confidently when they have clarity surrounding their therapist’s values and alignments.

I am queer, white, and neurodivergent, and am aware of how those identities shape how I show up to the therapy space and how clients work with me. While there is an inherent power dynamic in the therapeutic relationship, I do everything in my power to lower the power dynamic and create a space where your innate wisdom is central to the conversation.

I am unapologetically feminist, pro queer & trans, and actively work to create an anti-racist and decolonizing my practice. I believe that community and feedback are central to growth, and I am always open to learning about how I can better show up for you.
